Yes MOMs can have it ALL!
We’re on the edge of a digital era and a lot of moms are looking for ways to balance everything. This isn’t a new concept, but it seems like moms in the modern and digitally-driven era put more pressure on themselves than ever because there are constant reminders on blog posts and social media that they’re just not doing enough, or so it would seem.
If you’re excelling in your career you might feel like your kids aren’t getting the best of you, and if you’re putting a lot of focus on your kids, you may feel like the people at work are resentful, or you’re not productive enough.
Taking you through the schedule I follow each day for a better life balance between time I give my work and my 2 year old son
MAKE YOUR EARLY MORNING AS "ME TIME"
Fresh deep breathes not only nourishes our lungs but our soul too.We get time to deeply impact our sensory organs in the best of ways and this time helps us talk to our inner self.I spend 30-40 minutes either in Yoga/Zumba for waking up every cell of the body and this feels really refreshing as you feel you have won most of your day.
Its lovely to see our tiny tots sleep but its equally helpful to have a early schedule to spend that refreshing mornings together rather running for the day.
Once your me time is done and yes you have refreshed yourself that's when you can freshly get on your mom duties.
Below are some activities me & my little one do together in morning:
-Some cuddling once he gets up
-Spend quality time with our pets ( 2 cats & a dog)
-His morning love for Coconut water & me for my Chamomile tea
-Watering our lovely Garden
- Making him ready with perfect clothes, hairdo and matching shoes
PROMOTE FOCUS ON WORK WHEN AT WORK
Its hard to leave your little one and leave for work but this is best thing we are doing when it comes go making your child be independent. If you don’t work from home, you can still make this work. One idea is not to check your emails until in the evening after your kids have gone to bed. This can allow you to spend your entire workday as productively as possible and be doing things you can’t do from home, then your afternoon or early evening can be spent on mom duty. As your day is winding down, you can give your attention to emails, since you can do this from anywhere.
EVENINGS ARE OUR TIME WITH OUR MUCHKINS
As the day runs down evenings are bliss when it comes to spending quality time with your child. Reading books/playing colours/paintings/scrolling in the park and lots of new learnings for both of us
Finally, know the routine that works best for you. One of the primary habits of successful people, mothers or otherwise, is that they find a routine that works for them and they stick with it. You might find that doing your hardest and most pressing work first thing in the morning is best and lets you put all of your focus on family time later on. Whatever it is, routines are so important not just to balance your life, but to become successful in the process.
